White socks turned black... This picture is almost artistic there is so much beauty and contrast in it - the contrast between her city stained socked soles and the rest of her socks, the contrast between her white socks and dark dress, the contrasting connotations of strength and confidence with vulnerability and naiveity, and of course the beautiful centrepiece of the girl herself, further emphasised by her shoe wearing friend.
