chilling in white socks in beachclub "WIJ" in Scheveningen

I was looking a movie in the cinema. I kicked out my shoes and put my white socked feet on the chair before me. Then I walked, without putting my shoes back on to the lobby, to grab a coffee. Two girls sitting next to me, weari ng also white socks in sneakers. The did not put their shoes off. Why not???
After that I went chilling in a beachclub, called "WIJ"...
